Casino
It is one of the first buildings erected in Constanța, shortly after the city came out from under the administration of the Ottoman Empire and was no longer called Kustenge. The Casino building represents a unique architectural monument in the country and abroad and is the emblem of the city of Constanța.
Ovidiu Island
It is located in the middle of Lake Siutghiol. Numerous legends have been woven around this patch of land - it is said, for example, that the Latin poet Ovid composed on it, during his exile in Tomis, something unlikely and which has not been proven so far. Currently, the island can be reached by boat or boat. A short and smooth walk on the lake awaits you to the island where there is a tourist complex that also offers accommodation, but above all a rustic restaurant where mainly fish dishes are served. Of course, there is no shortage of music. Ovidiu Island is a place full of greenery, in the middle of the water that should not be missed.
Port Tomis
It is an integral part of the city of Constanța, being an extension of the Casino waterfront, through which a beautiful passage to the Modern beach is made. Access to the port is easy both by car and on foot. Through its location and existing infrastructure, Port Tomis offers a high potential for the exploitation of nautical tourism, sports and leisure activities, constituting a shelter for sports boats with sails. The capacity of the port allows the organization of a wide range of sports activities, such as regattas, which take place over several days.
Dolphinarium
Inaugurated on June 1, 1972, it is the first museum of its kind in the country and, at that time, in southeastern Europe. Demonstrations with dolphins, sea lions and penguins are organized in the amphitheater with swimming pool and in the indoor pool. The dolphins Chen Chen and Ni-Ni are the new stars of the Constanta Dolphinarium, brought just from China.
Mamaia Gondola
Another attraction of the coast, for tourists of all ages. From the height of the gondola you can admire Constanța, the resort of Mamaia, Siutghiol lake and the Black Sea. You can board from two stations, the first located in the Perla Mamaia area, and the second in the Cazino Mamaia area. For 8 minutes you will float above the Mamaia resort, at a maximum height of 50 meters. The total length of the cable car route is 2 kilometers. The maximum degree of safety is guaranteed by the latest generation equipment and in accordance with international standards.
Old Center
It is a neighborhood in Constanța, adjacent to the Victoria neighborhood. It is also called the Historical Center, because all the ancient history of the city is concentrated in this district.
Constanta Aquarium
The first section of the Natural Sciences Museum Complex, located by the sea on the Casino cliff, in its immediate vicinity, is also the first public aquarium in Romania and was inaugurated on 1 May 1958.
The building that houses it, built at the beginning of the century. 20th century, it had to be completely redeveloped, it had, until the 1950s, another destination.
Constanța Aquarium remained the largest institution of its kind in the country, although later other museums of natural sciences established sections with the same profile.
Holiday Village
