Casino
It is one of the first buildings erected in Constanta, shortly after the city left the Ottoman Empire and was no longer called Kustenge. The Casino building is a unique architectural monument in the country and abroad and is the emblem of Constanta.
Ovid Island
It is located in the middle of Lake Siutghiol. Numerous legends have been woven around this patch of land - it is said, for example, that the Latin poet Ovid composed on it during his exile in Tomis, which is unlikely and has not been proven so far. Nowadays, the island can be reached by boat or by dinghy. A short, gentle walk across the lake to the island awaits you, where there is a tourist complex offering accommodation and a rustic restaurant serving mainly fish dishes. Of course, there's music. Ovidiu Island is a verdant spot in the middle of the water not to be missed.
Tomis Port
It is an integral part of Constanta, being an extension of the Casino cliff, through which a beautiful passage to the Modern beach is made. Access to the harbour is easy both by car and on foot. By its location and existing infrastructure, the Tomis Port offers a high potential for the development of nautical tourism, sports and leisure activities, and is a shelter for sailing sports boats. The capacity of the harbour allows the organisation of a wide range of sporting activities, such as regattas, which take place over several days.
Dolphinarium
Opened on 1 June 1972, it was the first museum of its kind in the country and, at that time, in south-eastern Europe. In the amphitheatre with swimming pool and in the indoor pool, dolphin, sea lion and penguin demonstrations are held. Dolphins Chen Chen and Ni-Ni are the new stars of the Constanta Dolphinarium, brought all the way from China.
Mamaia Telegondola
Another seaside attraction for tourists of all ages. From the height of the cable car you can admire Constanta, the resort of Mamaia, Lake Siutghiol and the Black Sea. You can board from two stations, the first in the Perla Mamaia area and the second in the Mamaia Casino area. For 8 minutes you will float above Mamaia, at a maximum height of 50 metres. The total length of the cable car route is 2 kilometres. Maximum safety is guaranteed by state-of-the-art equipment and in accordance with international standards.
Old Centre
It is a neighbourhood in Constanta, adjacent to Victoria. It is also called the Historical Centre, because all the ancient history of the city is concentrated in this district.
Constanta Aquarium
The first section of the Natural Science Museum Complex, located on the seashore on the cliff of the Casino, in its immediate vicinity, is also the first public aquarium in Romania and was inaugurated on 1 May 1958.
The building that houses it, built at the beginning of the 19th century, was built in the early 1900s. It had to be completely refurbished and was used for another purpose until the 1950s.
The aquarium in Constanta remained the largest institution of its kind in the country, although other natural science museums later set up similar sections.
Holiday Village
It is a popular place among tourists spending their holidays in Mamaia resort. Located in the south of the resort, between the lakes Tăbăcărie and Siutghiol, this place is ideal for people looking for fun and merriment.
Aqua Magic
"Aqua Magic is the most modern water park on the Black Sea coast", covering an area of 27200 square meters (2.7 hectares) and includes slides, swimming pools for adults and children, waterfalls, pools, restaurants, bars, fast food and souvenir shops.
